Camp Fire Lone Star | Ignite a spark

Summer Day Camp

“Look deep into nature and you will understand everything.”— Albert Einstein

Camp Fire Lonestar’s programs immerse participants ages 5-16 in nature to learn, explore, and grow together while developing a lifelong respect for the outdoors. We believe in the power of nature to awaken the senses and the desire to learn. Camp Fire offers a variety of activities to make our camper’s day camp experience unforgettable!

A Fun & Productive Summer

At camp, youth from different backgrounds develop important skills, such as socialization, self-reliance, problem solving, and an appreciation of and commitment to the natural environment. Participants make their own decisions, have fun, and seek adventure!

Campers will enjoy archery, hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, and other activities led by experienced, caring and fun counselors. At Camp Fire, campers embark on a 5-day exploration to find their spark and create a camp experience that is truly unique to their interests.

Everyone is welcome at Camp Fire

We are inclusive. And that’s not just talk. We live that philosophy by welcoming children, youth and adults regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation or other identification of diversity. Camp Fire is committed to coeducation, providing opportunities for boys, girls, and their families to grow, together.  In Camp Fire, everyone is welcome.

Nature is in Our Nature

When kids get to learn how beautiful their world is, they can make it even better.

We emphasize fun ways to explore nature and learn how to protect it. Whether in the inner city or in a camp, the environment provides a perfect laboratory for discovery, curiosity, compassion and concern. Youth are at their best when they can embrace these traits.

Young people want to change the world. Let’s show them how to begin.

Our Promise

Young people want to shape the world.

Camp Fire provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.

In Camp Fire, it begins now.
